birds of a feather
I've always tried to surround myself with a "birds of a feather" mentality. Those who attracted success, and exuded confidence and determination, were the friends I sought after. Naturally, when the idea for wantwine creative came around, my circle always provoked this idea of having a "home base" for our ideas, thoughts, and opinions about our industry, and what it means to be a millennial navigating through it all.
Enter wantwine and company, or, for the blog's sake, "and co".
While it may take time for the other contributors to trickle in, I wanted to kick things off with an introduction to my dream. I've always thought I would own my own business one day. As a seven-year-old, I would knock on every door on the block to make money - cleaning, organizing, babysitting, you name it. There was even a time I cut chip board, that cardboard that comes in a ream of paper, into rectangles, colored them, and SOLD THEM as bookmarks to my neighbors. I made $14 off those bookmarks. And ever since then, I knew I was a natural entrepreneur. I have never been able to pinpoint what my business would be, but I knew that I would eventually break off and begin an entrepreneurial adventure.
With more than ten years experience in local store marketing, I've taken those grassroots tactics and applied them digitally. Your audience is RIGHT THERE, and wantwine creative will help steer you to the right digital solutions for your business in order to reach that audience.
In college, we were forced to choose between marketing and advertising. My first job out of college was heavily focused in digital marketing, but didn't focus on the elements of advertising when considering ad copy and ad design. So often, these two ideas are put into silos when they truly work better together. That's when I tied together what's needed to make a successful brand - a voice, and a presence. Now that my brain has merged the two, I can't separate them - and I don't think I want to. In my mind, you have to have both a strength in creativity AND be able to serve competitive strategy. From the creation to delivery of your brand's voice and presence, we want to be a part of it.
